Do I need a paid subscription?

Grove starts with a 7-day Grove+ free trial. After that, your daily recovery score and a focused home view stay free forever. Grove+ is $30/year and unlocks unlimited history (7-, 14-, 30-, and 90-day trends), deeper metric breakdowns, and seasonal ecosystem evolution.

What devices does Grove work on?

iPhone running iOS 16 or later. Apple Watch is optional — it sharpens overnight HRV and sleep data, but Grove works with whatever data is already in your Health app. If you've ever tracked a sleep on iPhone, Grove can start.

Where is my health data stored?

On your device. Grove reads from HealthKit locally and does not transmit your raw biometric data anywhere. Your account (email, name) lives at our auth provider. Your computed biome state syncs to a private Grove backend so your forest is consistent across reinstalls and devices.

What happens if I miss a few days?

Your forest doesn't punish absence. The scoring engine fills small gaps from your recent baseline — a missed night barely registers. After a longer absence the biome quietly slips into a resting state, and reawakens when fresh data returns.

Can I have more than one biome?

Not yet. One forest, long-term. We think the consistency of a single place is part of the magic — but multi-biome (a desert, a reef) is something we may explore later.
